LP Review: "Still Innocence" by LUSTRE

Still Innocence
Yesterday, as in the day before this was written, your friend and humble narrator took in his very first session of massage therapy.

You see, there's this pain in my neck that's been going on for some time and it's long past due to be fixed.

Naturally, this was a singular experience for me, but as it was the first time having done it....obviously...

In this stage of my life, I'm attempting to improve the quality of my life. Go to the physician more. Get my physical and mental problems cared for.

So, that was the reason for this session. My neck was creating immense pains shooting down to my fingers. It was scary. So, in the little room, they attempted to play some relaxing sounds in order to quiet my mind and allow relaxation.

LUSTRE
The issue is that this writer isn't the type of person who can relax in a sea of white noise, woodland sounds, or pan flutes.

Next time I'm going to request Dark Side of the Moon or Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.

But, now there's another request to be made when we're going in for relaxation therapy.

Sweden's LUSTRE is releasing a new album full of ambient sounds that is actually musical.

It's synthy enough to quiet the mind and musical enough to keep the mind focused on it, which thereby quiets the mind.

Still Innocence isn't the standard album reviewed at Glacially Musical, but it scratches the itch that I have today.

This record has the ability to evoke images long unseen, unless perhaps you have children... These tracks are innocent and there's a great power in that innocent.

Allow yourself to Quantum Leap, and relive some of your younger days. This is a journey inside yourself and into your own memories.

Don't miss it.
