1 Up with Unholy Batism's Moloch

Unholy Baptism
In the depths of the earth there's something dreadfully repellent.

Thinking about all of the things in this world that sicken a human being to their core, it's hard to skip over the filth infested world of Black Metal.

By and large, these bands are willing to write songs about the worst of humanity and the overturning of goodness...but enough about Moloch's love of PC games...

Moloch is half of the Unholy Baptism crew and they're putting out an album called Volume I: The Bonds of Servitude on October 5th. Check out their Facebook for updates.

Glacially Musical: My first system was a pong clone, the yellow and black Odessey 300. What was your first Console?

Unholy Baptism: Sega Genesis. I played a lot of Sonic and Mortal Kombat as a kid.

GM: My stepdad was certain we'd destroy the TV playing Pong so we had to play it in secret, either when he was a sleep or when he was out of the house. Did you have to jump through any hoops to play games?

UB: I snuck out at night to play Morrowind on the family computer all through Junior High and High School.

GM: What about hand held games? Is that something you ever got into?

UB: I’ve played my fair share of Pokemon, although with phones now there is no reason to buy a handheld system.

GM: The idea of not being able to play something drove me nuts, so I started playing games in their original Japanese. Did you ever get into imports?

UB: I’m usually not on the cutting edge, so this has never been an issue. I like to pick up games a year or two after they come out, in order to get the DLC combo deals.

GM: What's your favorite sports game?

UB: I’m not very into sports games, although NFL Blitz is a great game to play with friends.

GM: Dragon Warrior got me hooked on turn based RPGs, something that's still happening. What's your favorite style of game and what was the first one you played?

UB: I’m very much into Open World Action-RPGs, especially Bethesda games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls.

As far as the first Action-RPG, probably that would be Tomb Raider, although it was much more on-the-rails than what I prefer now.

GM: Favorite system?

UB: As you might have guessed, I’m a PC guy. I’ll play fighting games on a console if that’s the only thing available, but a mouse and keyboard is where I’m most comfortable.
