Portuguese hard rockers HER NAME WAS FIRE have dropped their new track "Another Rodeo" via PureGrainAudio.
The song is taken from their upcoming release Decadent Movement which will be released via Raging Planet Records in April.
If you're looking to sample the wares, HERE is where you can.
But this isn't about whether or not they're an amazing Portuguese death shoegaze folk jazz band, which is good, because they are not.
It's about kitties!
So screw on your best metal face and get fluffy!
1. In my house, we have three cats named Wickett, Louis IX, and Randall "Pink" Floyd. How many do you have and what are they called?
Well my parents always had cats, currently there are 3, this one in the photo is called Tufa (diminutive of pantufa, slipper in Portuguese ), there is also Jeremias and Kitty.
2. It's obvious where our cats got their names. Where did yours get theirs?
Tufa is called that because he looks like a giant fluffy slipper, Jeremias because there is Portuguese song about an outlaw called Jeremias and Kitty…well just the obvious she is a female cat, doesn’t win the originality contest.
3. We're three people with one cat each. My cat, Floyd, rides my shoulder like a parrot. What's an odd behaviour your cat has?
Tufa just loves to sleep in the weirdest places, the kitchen, sink, tiny closets or on top of my head which is always lovely.
4. When I leave, I always pick a cat to be in charge of the other kitties. What's the wacky thing you do with yours?
I tell them not to kill each other when no one is home, the cat turf wars at home can get quite intense.
5. We have a half-Himalayan, a Polydactyl, and a Kitten Would Be God. What sorts do you have?
They they are all mixes of different breeds, so they are all Half stray cats and something else.
Tufa seems to be half Ragamuffin, Jeremias half Chartreux (had to look it up) and Kitty just straight up European common short hair cat.
6. Over the years, my cats have taught me absolutely nothing. What's the one thing you think they should be imparting to us humans?
The one thing that if you live with cats you learn from observing them is to not give a damn about anything.
I think if people learned to stress less and just enjoy the smallest pleasures in life the world would be a better place.
