Sophomore Jinx with The Inferno Doll

Up there in Canada, they're growing a very strong dark folk metal scene. I really don't know what else to call it. 

With Lindsay Schoolcraft, Gaia Guarda, and now The Inferno Doll, these women are playing metal-ish music on Harps.

Like straight up Harps!

But for now, let's find out what High School was like for her....

1. There is nothing more awkward than sophomore year of high school. Tell me about your circle of friends.

Well, I was living in Chile back then (I relocated to Canada in December 2016) and my friends in High School were the best! I actually had a nice time.

I was a very quiet girl and I was hanging out with my metal and goth friends.

2. By this time in my life, I'd given up on all extracurriculars in my school. Tell me about how you spent your afternoons.

If I wasn’t out with my best friend, I was home writing poems, listening to music or out at singing and music lessons. 

3. During this time is when I finally discovered Pink Floyd. I had a copy of The Wall on cassette. It was a grey one. That album was my escape. Let's hear about your favorite album from back then. What format was it on?

Haha!, ok.

So there were several albums that marked my life back then but I am never going to forget the day my brother came home with a cassette tape he just bought and he said “you’re gonna love this.

At the end, you can hear how a person is buried alive and this person hears when they’re throwing in the dirt too”. This cassette tape was from a band I love until today.

This band was Devil Doll and the tape my brother borrowed was “Sacrilegium”. That definitely made me see music in a very different way. 

4. What was the name of your high school and did you have a favorite class?

Repton School. In Santiago, Chile.

My favourite class was Philosophy, Music and History. 

5. How did your school's football team do that season?

I have no idea! Hahaha!

I wasn’t into football, but I was part of a volleyball team and we did pretty good!

6. What instrument were you playing at that time?

Guitar and piano. My dad taught me how to play the guitar when I was very very young.
