Premiere: "How The Gods Kill" (Danzing Cover) by Death On Fire Featuring Rob Wrong of The Skull

Let's talk about some Death on Fire!

Right now, it wouldn't be hard to believe for any of us to think the whole fucking world is on fire, so Death on Fire sounds about right today.

I'm pleased to give you the first listen to their new single. In case you were wondering, Danzig III: How The Gods Kill is my personal favorite of the original three Danzig records. (The rest of them don't count. @ me in the comments!)

It seems that the band feels in a pretty similar fashion, said Tim Kenefic of the track...

This song seemed very fitting after the year we have had. it was a lot of fun working on this and putting our slightly darker twist on it. We can't thank Rob enough for his willingness to rip a solo for us too.

Get over to Bandcamp for all your Death on Fire needs and listen to the new single below. You can get your own copy of the song on 12/31 when we kiss this fucking year goodbye with fire.

Who Are You with Death On Fire

Is there anywhere in this world more metal than Fort Wayne, IN?

It would be hard to say, but that's where Death On Fire hails from. They've got a  new record coming out in March. Check out their Bandcamp to keep up with that.

For now, let's find out more!

Home Town Tales with Tim Kenific from Death On Fire

Tim Kenefic

The world we live in, it's  big place full of lots of different adventures and styles. So, with that I'm welcoming you to my newest continuing series, Home Town Tales.

These columns have been created in the hopes that we all connect with the bands on a personal level.

Death On Fire is up first. Fire in the hole as it were.

Let's get to know them as a entity before we head on into this particular hometown. They're a pretty brutal death metal band from Chicago.  You can see all their releases on BANDCAMP.

They've got a split coming out next month featuring three original tunes alongside covers of Prince, INXS, etc. The backside of the split features a new band called Corpse Paint and Dayglo.

I'm interested, but let's find out more now.

Top Five: Tim Kenefic of Death on Fire

As a writer, it's always interesting to see how songs, albums, and careers are built. Seemingly, I lack whimsy because it's easy to get jaded.

Seeing how the sausage is made though, is extremely interesting.

In that vein, we have another top five playlist from Tim Kenefic of Death on Fire.  Perhaps you recall the track we streamed awhile back? If not, refresh yourself HERE.
