Pandemic Dispatches with pILE of pRIESTS

Again, we're listening in to a band who's been locked in the doors for the past few months.

Today, we're hearing form Colorado based metallers, pILE of pRIESTS.

Check out their latest HERE.

1. How are things going where you are?

It has been a pretty crazy ride the past few months. With the Covid crisis, to now the tragic murder of George Floyd and the protests that have followed; things are rather chaotic here in the US.

But overall for us in the band, it has been great, the new album has been getting some great responses.

2. How long have you been sheltering in place at this time?

Since the beginning/middle of March.

But we all work in jobs that have not stopped throughout the entire pandemic, so we've been extremely lucky to stay working and busy.

3. What has been cancelled on you that you were looking forward to?

We we're going to open for the Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, and Seven Spires tour that was going to come through Denver back in early April.

Plus Adrienne Cowan, the singer of Seven Spires is the one who did the guest vocals on our album, so it would have been really awesome to have her sing live with us on those two songs.

Beyond that, we were not able to have a live show for our album release, which really sucks. But we are working on something that will be a good substitute for a live show.

4. How have you been passing the time indoors?

Well since we are still working, we haven't had as much time to ourselves indoors as many of our friends and family have.

But when I am home, I have been playing video games, drinking bourbon whiskey, and playing guitar.

5. Loads of artists have been talking about how they're being creative. When the lockdown is over are ya gonna be ready to hit up the studio?

With the new album released, our main focus is around promoting that and coming up with new ways to promote it to our fans and potential future fans.

While we definitely have had some more creativity, it just really isn't at the forefront of our focus at the moment.

6. What crazy projects have you been considering since you've been in quarantine?

I have a couple of collaborative projects I am currently a part of, but I can't say anything regarding those at the moment.

No crazy projects, but they are indeed awesome.
