Think about it. If your home country also housed a pantheon of gods that could destroyed just by tossing the heavenly equivalent of a javelin, you'd also grow up pretty angry...and that's not even mentioning the gods coming down to sire....
They originally formed in the town of Livadia in Central, Greece back in 2003. They immediately recorded a couple demos to begin getting their sound and shape together. In 2007, they released their debut album, and a follow up in 2009. Then, they went off the grid a little bit, but they have returned with For I Am Genocide.

It's easy enough to spot the Tampa Bay influence, of Morbid Angel and Obituary, but the solos do not seem to be here.
The drums are thundering. At times it does get a little bit distracting and overpowering, but frankly, that is a death metal convention and my mentioning it time and time again will not change a damned thing.
The drummer though, and this is a first for me, throws blast beats like grenades. He just drops bombs when he thunders it out. The drums are legitimate drums and sound awesome. They lay the perfect foundation for this record.
The guitars, though a bit farther down in the mix than they should be and a bit lacking in the solo department, play the familiar sounding double picked rhythms with little swirls of melody work that just color the music slightly enough that a casual listen won't pick it up, but changes the style of the music entirely.
