What we're talking about is a doom laden riff cult from the terribly vicious land of Guernsy. (No you had to google where and what that is.)
If you didn't google, it's an island in the English Channel that's a self governing British Crown Dependency....which I think is similar to Bermuda...
Anyway...go to BANDCAMP and get a bowl of riffs in which to eat. Now let's duck.
1. Which is your favorite kind of bar and why? It can be any kind. Whiskey, Beer, Wine, Coffee, or Steel.
Phil Skyrme: Gimme a pub. A proper one.
Over here there's not really that many of the old, proper pubs left, but I love the ones that are. Filled with all kinds of personalities and usually a decent pint!
Paul Etasse: Yeah proper pub with tables, local characters and preferably a decent jukebox.
2. When you get up to the 'tender, what's your normal order?PS: Either a pint of whatever dark ale they have on tap, or if i'm somewhere that doesn't do good ale, a pint of Guinness
PE: Breda – a strong lager.
It used to be brewed in Holland and for some reason it became popular in the Channel Islands, now it’s brewed here on island.
3. How did you find your local spot and what made you wanna keep coming back?
PS: My local is just around the corner from me, basically 2 minutes walk. Which is dangerous. It's a friendly pub, and the meat draw on a Friday is awesome.
(A meat draw is a local thing in our pubs where it's a raffle for a selection of local meat produce)

PE: Despite only living 2 minutes away from Phil we have different locals. And yeah it’s the meat draw that keeps me going back, and ‘open the box.'
A locked money box with a wad of cash has 1 key that will open it, and a dozen or so that won’t. If your number gets called you pick a random key out of the bag and try to open the box, if you get the right key you win the cash.
If you don’t win more cash gets added for next week and there’s one less key. I’ve never won. Bastards. There’s also a pub I go to on another island that’s 9 miles away across the sea, I jump on my boat with my mates and we spend a fair bit of time there in the summer.
It hasn’t been decorated since the 70s, there’s a shitload of great characters in there (the island only has a population of 500). It helps that a pint of Breda is less than £3 too, and they don’t mind metal on the jukebox!

4. What is the craziest thing you've seen happen but didn't take part in there?PS: It's not really a crazy place, everyones really friendly (at least whenever i'm in there). Never seen any trouble or anything really mad.
PE: Pinning people’s ears to the table in the neighbouring island pub probably tops it. There’s no drawing pins on the noticeboard anymore!
Pool table diving used to be a good one too, sliding across the table in the middle of someone else’s game. That didn’t end well for a good friend of mine who ended up with a massive haematoma in his thigh, had to get the ambulance boat to our island on Christmas Eve and spent 2 weeks in hospital…
5. Do they have musical acts there and have you played it?
PS: They do, but we've not played it. Most of the patrons, whilst nice, aren't into our sort of music. They do have some live music from time to time, but it's usually covers bands.
6. Is it harder to name a bar or a band? What would you name your bar?
PS: Probably harder to name a Bar, with a band you can have any name you like. Bars need to be catchy.

PE: My Bar would be called the Riff Shack
