Normally, when I'm writing these things, it's round about lunch time...and today is no different.
Who remembers the last time we checked in with Sail...who live across the pond? Slumbersong seems to stick in my mind....
As they've got a new single out, let's talk pizza.

As they've got a new single out, let's talk pizza.
1. Pizza is the world's most perfect food. This is not up for debate.
Please define pizza as based on your geographical location.
Pizza has really seen a massive surge in popularity locally. There are tons of sourdough pizza places popping up everywhere locally so I guess that’s what’s available mostly.
I live in the middle of nowhere so I don’t get to indulge very often but there is a weekly pizza van that does wood fired pizzas a couple of villages over and they are doing the best thin crispy sourdough pizza’s I’ve ever had.
2. It's going to get controversial now. Pineapple on Pizza. Why or why not?
That’s a massive no from me. I’m not a big fan of pineapple anyway but there’s something about it on a pizza that just seems to be a massive turn off for me.
But I guess if it’s your bag, you do you.

3. For literally years, my family didn't order pizza from the take out places. We made Chef Boyardee boxed pizzas. After that, we only ordered St. Louis Style from Imo's. But finally in the LATE EIGHTIES, I had Domino's Pizza. Tell me your tale.
My first memory of pizza was going to a friends birthday party as a kid at Pizza Hut.
We didn’t really do pizza at home unless it was homemade and it was like a small loaf of bread with crappy cheese and too many toppings, I mean, what kid isn’t going to put literally everything on top.
But the Pizza Hut experience really kindled my love of pizza. Since then it’s been any excuse. On a recent holiday to Ireland I literally ate pizza and chicken wings every time we went out to eat, my wife wasn’t too impressed.

4. St. Louis Style Pizza is the perfect pizza, especially if you enjoy bragging about how much pizza you can eat, but when I'm out in other parts of the country, I seek out Chicago Style Pizza. What do you look for?
I recently stopped eating meat so finding great vegetarian toppings on pizza is always something I look out for now. I can’t stand mushrooms so finding interesting toppings that don’t have mushrooms is always a god damned challenge.
My favourite so far has to be goats cheese and caramelised red onion. But if a place does a really good margarita pizza that’s a sign of a great pie.

5. Pepperoni, started giving me heartburn. So I switched to green peppers or onions. What's your go to topping?
I always used to be a meat feast guy but now I tend to go for a straight up margarita.
But it has to be super good quality ingredients otherwise I’ll go for the craziest combo on the menu to make up for crap sauce or dull tasting cheese.

6. What do you look for in pairing beer with your pie?
There’s a great pizza restaurant in the nearest city and they specialise in great pizza and great cider (it’s like our regional drink) so I always go for a local farmhouse scrumpy if I’m there.
Otherwise I’ll usually go for something like a PBR.
